Information about our Submarines, page 2 High safety standard features allow easy and safe operation for great
underwater explorations.
To make the dives easy and safe a dive computer indicates to the pilot
all necessary parameters, depth, bottom time and time to surface.
Video cameras in the periscope and keel help prevent collisions with
reefs when surfacing or when landing on the sea floor.
A scanning sonar displays reefs and floating object up to 600 Ft range.
If control is lost, a single action releases 2 drop weights which
create an immediate positive buoyancy for a safe return to the surface.
The optional gas or diesel engine allows fast surface and snorkel
transits.
It also gives a reserve of power in case of strong current
remote dive sites can be reached without a tow or support boat and
the range of the submarine is increased beyond all expectations. Multiple
engines and rudder are able to maintain a heading in case of an engine
malfunction or to compensate an unbalanced thrust.
Submarines are powered by maintenance free, heavy duty, deep cycle
gel batteries that leave the passenger environment free of any hazardous
outgassing.
Tanks can be replaced under water by a rescue diver if needed.
Emergency inhalators in the cockpit provide an alternate source of
air.
Automatic and manual overrides, in case of a component failure.
No electric power is required to surface the submarine in case of
emergency.
Thanks to the ambient pressure design, it is always possible to escape
the submarine even when under water. In such case the submarine can
be recovered later, once recovered the cockpit and electrical equipment
will require immediate washing with fresh water. If this is not done
immediately electronic devices may require replacement.
